Merry Christmas 2006

Merry Christmas Everybody,
Well, it is Christmas again. Gee, we have woven through another 365 days and once again we are amazed at how quickly the days pass by. Wasn't it yesterday than many of us were only 35?

But here we are….with finite lives. Therefore, we should try our best to help others; do worthwhile tasks; maintain a positive outlook on life; grumble little; and listen much.

By doing this, you and we will present a positive role model, and live healthier and happier lives. Not a bad goal.

This year Frank continues his working with IGRA as their WebMaster, as well as he was re-elected to the position of Secretary at ASGRA. He continues also as ASGRA's WebMaster...and assists other rodeo and non profit organizations. Needless to say, he keeps very busy. Tom continues his working for Science Applications International (SAI), and this year the employee-owned company went public and listed itself on the New York Stock Exchange. Tom has been with SAI for the past 22 years..and would like to stay longer, but keeps getting these gentle pushes from Frank to retire soon. Tom is not sure when this will occur. Does anyone have suggestions when to retire? Some have counselled when it is no longer fun...but what happens if it is fun? Just stay on and die in the saddle?

Take time this Christmas season to slow down, and focus on what is really important. Slow down to the point you know it is slow…and then slow down more.

Smile… and know that you too are loved.

We both hope this finds you well. Enjoy your friends and families…in whatever shapes, sizes, and orientations that they may come in. We just left Thanksgiving a month ago, but this too is the time to be ever so thankful. We are thankful …. that you are our friends.

We wish you well. We wish you a Merry Christmas … and the Happiest of New Years.
